Key takeaways from our May 10 online info session:

  • We know high framing and shipping costs can keep artists from submitting work to gallery shows. So this year, artists whose work is selected for STCF’s September shows will be able to send us their photos framed or unframed…

  • You asked, we answered! All the questions submitted before or during our info session are now available (with answers!) on our new FAQ page…

  • (Want pics with ☝️ that? See our latest email…)

Hello Friends --

The good news is, you haven't missed any messages, or the deadline to submit to the 11th annual Somerville Toy Camera Fest (phew!). The bigger news is, we're making the Festival a biennial event -- it isn't happening this year, but it will be back in 2025!

This decision hasn't been easy for us, and we apologize for our lack of communication while we've struggled with whether/how we might produce a festival this year in the midst of some difficult challenges. Ultimately, we've decided it doesn't make sense; STCF is a love-not-money project for us, and we want to be able to give it the attention and enthusiasm it deserves. Shifting to every other year will make for stronger festivals (plus, 'biennial' = fancy!).

We are so grateful for all our participating artists, workshop instructors, jurors past and future, friends, fans and followers. We hope you'll stay connected and involved as we plan for 2025 and beyond!
