Artist Marian Roth will talk about her work and her experiences converting a wide variety of spaces into cameras. Come early to experience the walk-in camera Roth is setting up in a small gallery in the Griffin!
Immediately preceding the artist's talk, from 5-6:30pm, there will be an opening reception for the camera obscura and the Griffin's exhibit of Roth's work. Come early to experience the magic! These events are FREE but registration is required for the talk.

The Somerville Toy Camera Fest is teaming up with Boston's Photographic Resource Center on a "Nights at the PRC" program devoted to lo-fi and slow photography! Hosted by 4-time STCF exhibiting artist Jim Rohan, this event offers an opportunity for local photographers to share their own work in an informal and supportive setting.

The Somerville Toy Camera Festival is thrilled to partner with artist Marian Roth and the Griffin Museum of Photography on a room-sized camera obscura that will be installed at the Griffin for the duration of the Festival. The transformation of a room in the Museum into the camera obscura on September 8 will be open to the public. Click through for more details!
